看得我压力好大= =
Now there may seem to be nothing wrong here, but if you look at it my way, you may see flaws. Let me get my points out. Each point talks about one of my suggested buffs to Nessaj's ulti.
1) Take a look at Nessaj's mana. 16 starting int +1.2 per level. Thats a below average starting int with a below average int growth(a pisspoor 34 int by level 16) This means he has a low manapool, similar to Juggernaut. Why did I mention juggernaut? I am looking at manapool -> Skill combo manacost. Juggernaut has only 2 active skills in his combo, Bladefury and Omnislash. 110 mana cost and 200/275/350 manacost respectively.
Chaos Knight has 3 active skills in his combo, Chaos Bolt, Reality Rift, and Phantasm. Manacosts are 140, 50, and 175/225/275 respectively.
Take note that Juggernaut has more overall mana than CK, due to a higher int growth and a measly 2 int difference in starting int.
Lets look at combo: Juggernaut uses Bladefury once, due to its long cooldown. Omnislash as well has a long cooldown. So we can say he uses both once. That's a total manacost of 310/385/460. Thats all his mana at level 6, and just about 40% of his mana or less by level 16.
Chaos Knight uses Chaos bolt multiple times due to a 10 second cd. Lets say twice. He'd normally use reality rift many times in a fight, for the common chase situation, 6 second cd, and to constantly keep them under your illusion's attacks. Phantasm is used once. Assume all are used once. That is 365/415/465. Now, why should Juggernaut have more mana when he uses 2 skills once, which have less overall mana cost than CK's skills? Chaos Knight has a lesser mannapool to make use of, but ends up using more than juggernaut (Also take into account that Reality Rift and Chaos Bolt will likely be used more than once due to short cooldowns and their effects). Its not right, It's like giving 1 gallon of water to a camel(who does not use much water) and then giving 3/4 a gallon of water to a human, who needs more water. Proportionally, my analogy may not be correct, but its the same concept. More mana for someone who doesn't use as much, and less for one who uses more.
I know Chaos Bolt and Reality Rift's mana cost must stay the same, due to early game effectiveness. It's CK's ultimate that costs too much mana. I suggest from 175/225/275 to 175/200/225 manacost.
2) Take a look at CK's ultimate. It creates 1/2/3 of him that do full damage and take 200% damage. They last 20 seconds and have a cooldown of 180/160/140 seconds. Naga Siren's illusions, which last 30 seconds and have a 40 second cooldown, deal 45% damage and take 300% damage. Lets take into consideration that Mirror Image is a regular skill and Phantasm is an ultimate. Ultimates should be generally stronger than Regular skills of the same general effect. Of course Nessaj's illusions tank better and deal more damage than naga's illusions, so what the fuck am I talking about? Look at the duration: Naga's: 30 seconds. CK's: 20 seconds. I am questioning why it is 10 seconds lower. Take into account that many times, you can't just spawn illusions and jump in and attack for the full duration. So the actual duration of how long you are using those illusions is less than that. Chaos Knight's illusions need a longer duration, because they are as just as important to him as Naga's illusions are to her. I'm talking about buffing Phantasm's duration to 25 or 30. Also, take cooldown into consideration. When CK's illusions are gone, he must wait a full 2 minutes or longer, considering the level of the ulti. Naga Siren must only wait 10 seconds. Hide a bit, stall, whatever. She can just pop them back up in no time compared to CK, who needs illusions as much as Naga does, but CK has to wait 2 minutes. My point is, 2 heroes who need their illusions: one who can keep their illusions up and are at about 1/2 the power of the other hero's illusions. The other,CK, has their illusions up for less than 1/5 of the time. With consideration that Phantasm is an ultimate, and has only a tiny bit more overall strength(Damage, Damage Taken, Duration, Cooldown, Mana cost) than Mirror Image, I suggest increasing the duration of Chaos Knight's ultimate, or Decreasing the cooldown time.
3) Even with int-boosting items, such as manta style and magic stick, his combo takes a toll on his mana.
EDIT: tinkering with the duration/cooldown of the ulti is still an option, however I've opened up to also: increasing int gain of CK, with possibly lowering starting int, increasing starting str and decreasing base damage to keep the same base damage(so gold can be focused on mp, instead of hp). |
